Understanding Intimacy
Editorial
This issue, inspired by a photograph that I took of the space created by running water in a shower explores the concept of intimacy through a series of articles, images and poems.
"What does intimacy mean to you?" A question I find myself dwelling on often. To me, it is the ability to be vulnerable — vulnerable with a partner, friends, family or yourself. It is a space and a mindset. A safe zone that belongs to you — you and whomsoever you are willing to share it with. Being willingly open and comfortable, it is a place that you can go to where you feel heard. I think of intimacy as a little bubble, inside which you allow the deepest parts of you to exist loudly.
